Whelp, the year is officially half over. My one achievement for the year, quitting a job that was killing me. DH (Dear Hubby) told me the other day he was very glad to realize my sarcastic sense of humour is back!!! My question - is this a good thing?
So, this weekend, I make the Grand Tour to Long Beach, the family homestead, that cauldron of simmering angst guaranteed to change the most mature of us to mere adolescent vessels of guilt and inadequacy. But it's mom's birthday. Have to go. Even though she past away 8 years ago.....
But on the plus side, see my kids and granddaughters, so all is worth it!!
Zephyr, our cat, (menace of the universe) who has a crossed eye which makes him more than a little CLUMZY, managed to slip off the windowsill yesterday morning and break my Mr. Coffee Carafe. Luckily for him, Ricky and Nikki gave me a French Press for Christmas. I enjoy my FP very much, but definitely will have to design a Press Cozy in some crazy coloured superwash wool. Perhaps this would be a good project to learn how to double knit!! There are a couple of downsides to using a French Press, such as the mess with the grounds, and the fact you can't set it to have coffee done by the time you wake up in the morning!! Ah, the sacrifices one must make....
Well, I have several more outfits to iron before I head to town with a friend, so that's all for today, or this week. Or Maybe 2.5 years????
